November has arrived…and with it comes the cooler temperatures. Thank you to everyone for sending appropriate clothing for students to be outside for recess and lunch hour. It is really important to make sure that our kids are dressed to be outside as physical movement and activity at recess is essential to a healthy body and mind!
This month we are learning about Courage. Our Touchstone says ‘we take risks and can unlock the future’. We will be talking about various ways to demonstrate courage in our lives, and as Remembrance Day approaches, we will reflect on how our Troops from past and present have shared their courage as they stood for our country and for countries around the world. We will be observing Remembrance Day on November 10th at 11:00 a.m. in an assembly. If you are able to join us, you are welcome to do so, even if it is standing room only!
Please remember that this weekend our clocks ‘fall back’ an hour. When you change your clocks on Sunday, the Fire Department also recommends you change the batteries on your smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors!
