Lego Robotics Competition

German Mills was well-represented at the Regional Lego Robotics competition at Seneca College with teams in the Junior and Intermediate divisions. The competition involved students building and programming an autonomous lego robot to complete the beach themed objectives. The students had to collect seashells, avoid jelly fish, put a lifeguard on his tower, put a life preserver on its stand, carry a sand pail, build a sand blocks castle, and park the robot in a narrow surfboard. The Mavericks had a very strong showing with the Junior team placing fourth and the Intermediate team capturing the bronze medal for their division. Both teams deserve a big congratulations for their dedication, teamwork, and outstanding finish.
